History

We acquired almost all of our knowledge and expertise from Gino Milani. Not know in the cycling world at large, Milani was one of the most brilliant Italian frame builders of the Seventies. At that time his work influenced all major bicycle manufactures. When Cicli Milani closed down in early 1990 we moved to Illasi. The town of Illasi, not far from Verona, is well know for it's wonderful wines. Since 1987 we have been building top quality bicycle frames, and the first in Italy to use TIG welding techniques. Our first TIG welded frames were made with the famous tubes produced in France by Excell. From 1991 through to 1997, we built frames for pro road teams. We also worked on tube geometry and designed the DynaLite and Radius tube series which are marketed by Dedacciai. Since 1997 we have exclusively designed and created frames carrying the Pegoretti name. Our limited output is based upon the best available materials. Each frame is developed according to the individual morphology and cycling requirements of our customers. In 1999 we moved to Levico Terme, a few miles from our home town near Trento. Levico is a beautiful resort in the Dolomites, and has several times been home to the mountain stage of the Giro d'Italia. Since we came to Levico, we have redesigned our frames, working on the assumption that an all-round tube profile offers the best compromise between lateral strength and resistance to torsion. Such a choice exploits to the maximum the concept of oversized frames.
